About
the Project:
This client wanted to sell his one
bedroom apartment quickly and for the best price. However, he had
purchased the apartment 20 years previously but had never made any
interior decor changes in that time. The apartment was cluttered,
dated and needed a complete overhaul to make it appeal to the
target market which was identified as being young professional
singles/couples. The client worked from home and had sited his
desk, computer equipment, shelving and paperwork in the living
room making it seem messy and cramped. Estate agents had provided
the client with an idea as to how much he could achieve from a
sale if the property were updated versus what he could achieve for
it in its existing condition. We knew what the potential uplift
was from the start so knew how that the budget for works had to be
below that figure. This project involved completely
cost-effectively refurbishing and modernising this property
including decluttering, new kitchen , bathroom, carpets, decor and
soft furnishings, some new furniture, light fittings and a bespoke
under eaves 'hidden office' was created in the client's bedroom.
When not in use the doors could be closed and appear as a
wardrobe. The client liked is new apartment so much, that he chose
to stay instead of sell. |
