Front gardens and yards can make all the difference when it comes to kerb appeal. Unlike a back garden, which is typically hidden from view, a front garden is immediately visible to anyone walking or driving by so
it must create the right first impression of your home.
The first step to sprucing up any outdoor space is to clear any weeds and take care of the lawn. Damaged or bare areas of grass can be patched with turf or sprinkled with lawn seed, and yellow grass can be
treated to bring your lawn back to a luscious green colour.
If you have borders in your front garden,
opt for hardy perennials
that can survive tough UK winters and will flower every year, such as foxgloves, honeysuckle, wood anemone and primrose.
If not, you can introduce pops of colour with hanging baskets, window boxes and flowerpots. Or you might want to add a trellis around your front door and introduce climbing roses or clematis, which will look
and smell beautiful when in bloom.
