Time-blocking is an effective way to increase your productivity; if you know you get a 3 pm slump, try and avoid scheduling important meetings around that time, or maybe you know that your brain is better at
creative tasks in the early morning. It's highly dependent on you what your time blocks should be used for, but make sure to stick to your boundaries and make space for downtime. This can be particularly
useful if you're a remote worker,
as setting aside time to reduce unnecessary notifications, as well as for checking emails or social media, can really help you focus on tasks at hand, rather than ending the day tired but feeling less
successful than you wanted to be. Many also find it helpful to set timers or alarms in which you use the time to get a certain number of jobs done, putting this timer in a place you can see it can remind you
that you are in a work block. Even putting one on your phone can remind you if you pick it up to put it down and focus on the task at hand.
