Property Photography and professional property photographers

The Property Photography in your property marketing details is one of the first things that will draw the attention of the potential buyer to your property. Most property buyers use the internet to search for property and compare the details. The photographs will either turn a buyer on or off to your property.  Is your property photography good enough? Will it draw the viewers in to read on and find out more, to book a viewing and to get that all important first foot in the door? If not then your property photography needs to be improved.

The best property photography

If you don't feel that your Estate Agent's photographs are doing your property justice then you have a few options.

1) Ask your Estate Agent to re-take your photographs.

Your Estate Agent should be keen to come back out and re-take photographs for you. After all its the photographs that will draw in viewers and help to sell your house. However, sometimes the Estate Agent's photographs will not do your property justice because the camera may not be good enough and the photographer might not be experienced.

2) Have photographs taken by a professional property photographer

There is a good reason that professional photographers take much better photographs - they are specialists and have the best equipment for the job.

When a professional property photographer takes property photographs they use professional equipment, the correct lighting and a wide angle lens. Exposure is important and they won't have either shadows in a room or light streaming through the windows, the photograph will bring into the frame the width of the room and show it at its best.

Find a property photographer

How do you find the best professional property photographer to take your photos? Firstly you could check the property photographers on this page. Look at their property photograph portfolio on their own websites.

Property photography prices are sometimes based on rates per image, but more often is a flat rate for the job depending on the size of house to be photographed and the travelling time for the photographer. Ask how your photographs will be provided - on a CD or by email and importantly check with your Estate agent that they will accept the images and their preference for wide angled lens images as they sometimes have a limit.
