Show Homes and Home Staging in the North West
by Susie Tucker House Wow® Associate

Design Fix was launched in early 2007 by Susie Tucker.

Susie has been working in the design industry for 20+ years.

In 1994 Susie graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with a BA (hons) in Interiors Design.

Driven by the passion to make good design accessible and affordable to property investors and homeowners, Susie formed "Design Fix" specialising in creative, cost-effective interior design, property staging and styling with a focus on target market and budget to achieve a higher return on investment.

"It doesn't necessarily mean we're cheap; we make savvy design choices to achieve the desired look to attract the right target market."

"Being a property investor myself, I know how important it is to balance the design with the budget. Good interior design doesn't have to cost a fortune. As an avid bargain hunter and natural problem solver I can usually find cost-effective, creative solutions for most interior design and styling problems. We can also help you avoid making those costly mistakes."

Client Testimonials

Holiday Let mini makeover

"Can't thank you enough Susie. You nailed that brief and added a lovely cosy feel."

Nicola D,

Serviced Accommodation design advice

"Following owning 3 holiday lets for 15 years, they got dated, lost their sparkle and needed a fresh pair of eyes. I therefore asked for Susie's help and was extremely pleased with the service. Susie listened carefully to the brief, explained her rationale fully and came up with concepts I love within a realistic budget. If you need a "Design Fix" for a property, I can't recommend Susie highly enough."

Claire N
Bowness, Lake District

Lounge redesign

"Fantastic company! We found Design Fix online and from the initial meeting to the finished rooms, Suzie couldnt have been more helpful or accommodating. Suzie listened to what effect we wanted and suggested lots of exciting ideas. The finished rooms look fantastic- we would never have achieved this without Suzies help. Family and friends cant believe the difference to the 2 rooms Suzie did. I cant wait to start our next project with Design Fix. 100% highly recommend!"

Helen M
Pilling, Lancashire

Styling Sheltered Homes for the Elderly

"We hired Design Fix and gave Susie the almost impossible task of redesigning two of our Charity's sheltered homes for the active elderly to make them warm, inviting and conducive to interaction between the residents. Susie went above and beyond, working closely with our staff and the residents. Despite a number of setbacks from the builders Susie was always flexible and willing to tailor her designs to accommodate the changing situation. Very professional, great ideas and a pleasure to work with."

Brian L, BlackpoolCharity Trustee and Board Member,
The Abbeyfield Society (Fylde Coast).

3 Bedroom Show Home

"We have recently used Design Fix to dress one of our new 3 bed show homes. We met with Susie several times before the final dress out to ensure that the show home would be fitting for our target audience, have an element of wow factor and be priced within our budget. Susie's work ethic is second to none, her professionalism and attention to detail are a credit to her. We cannot thank her enough for our stunning new show home, customers love it and it has really helped us sell this house type. We are looking forward to working with Susie again in the future."

Sharon G, St Helens:Sales Team Leader, Torus Homes

Photoshoot Styling

"We have worked with Susie for a number of years for style support on photoshoots and souring props and dressings for our trade shows. Her experience and expertise are first class and she is an invaluable part of the team."

Lea L, Preston: Marketing Manager, Lunar Caravans Ltd

Styling Empty Property to Sell

"Making an unfurnished property appear as more than a series of empty rooms requires a special talent and Susie's ideas and suggestions literally transformed my house. Everything we discussed at our first meeting was duly delivered and installed by Susie on time and even slightly under budget. Asking Susie to put the finishing touches to my refurbishment project was one of the most important decisions I made and I am happy to recommend her services."

NOTE: House achieved the highest sale price for the house type on the road at that time.

Ian F-S, Southport:Property Developer

Home Staging to Sell

"I requested a makeover for five rooms in my house as I was wanting to sell and thought it needed updating however the budget was quite tight. I'd known Susie for quite a while and knew I could put my trust in her and also knew she had a fabulous creative eye for detail. Susie visited us out of normal hours as we both work, armed with fabric swatches, wallpaper books and paint swatches. I wouldn't have known where to start but she asked lots of questions about what we liked and disliked about the rooms, colours we were drawn to and how we could have a beautiful house that wouldn't cost the earth. After choosing the fabrics, paper and paint everything arrived very quickly and we got to work. The outcome is we now have a beautiful house. Each room flows and reflects our personalities, it's tasteful, warm and I'm delighted to say we were so impressed with the makeover we decided not to move! Susie's attention to detail and talent is amazing and if I could rate Design Fix higher than 5 Star I would!"

Home Styling for a New Build Property

I purchased a new build property and moved to a new area. I first met Susie through the interior designers for the show house. I had only taken sofa bed and TV so really was working with nothing, as they were all going. Susie came to my house the week I moved in June we chatted about idea's and colour schemes a couple of weeks later Susie came back with an amazing book which must have taken days to prepare there was a page for every room, lounge kitchen hallway landings 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, which included fabrics for blinds cushions wall paper samples and all the furniture light fittings lamps etc. Susie ordered everything and had it delivered to her unit, she organised the decorator electrician window dresser to fit the blinds, she even came up with an underwater theme for my grandchildren's bedroom, it looks fantastic and they love it!!! The day Susie and her team arrived to fit everything and dress the house I was away on business, Susie sent me lots of pictures but in the end I had to drive back to see if for myself. All my guests are wowed by the detail Susie is such a perfectionist in everything she does and I feel very lucky to have met such a talented lady. Needless to say I love going home to my house and can't believe it's mine.
