The chart
below shows
the standard UK dimensions for bed mattress sizes. This is a useful
measurement guide if you intend to buy your mattress in Britain.
For UK bed sizes or bed size guide as there is no
standardisation and beds come in varying sizes from different
retailers and suppliers. If you are looking for a bed size guide then
its best to check out the bed in person with a tape measure to check
that there isn't any feature of the bed that requires more space. Some
retailers will stock odd sizes using European dimensions or
other measurements. Check with the bed stockist
before you purchase. Divan bed sizes will be similar to the mattress
size. Bedstead sizes need to have the bed frame size taken into
account for bed length and bed width. It's worth remembering that the
standard Ikea mattress size is not the same as the standard UK sizes,
but they have recently brought out a mattress range that confirms to
UK standard bed sizes so they will fit any bed.
